Italian Walls | Taormina depicts worn walls with multiple layers. Painting each layer is a slow meditative process that allows me to reflect on a year I spent in Italy. Each colour settles down in time, either with a targeted brush stroke or with rolling the paint in an improvised manner. The painting is completed when the last layer makes room for the bits and pieces of previous layers.
